'Tested' in the Bible

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!”“Here I am,” he answered.

This is how you will be tested: As surely as Pharaoh lives, you will not leave this place unless your youngest brother comes here.

Send one from among you to get your brother. The rest of you will be imprisoned so that your words can be tested to see if they are true. If they are not, then as surely as Pharaoh lives, you are spies!”

So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he threw it into the water, the water became drinkable.He made a statute and ordinance for them at Marah and He tested them there.

Do not test the Lord your God as you tested Him at Massah.

He said about Levi:Your Thummim and Urim belong to Your faithful one;You tested him at Massahand contended with him at the waters of Meribah.

If only Job were tested to the limit,because his answers are like those of wicked men.
