'Wise' in the Bible

Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.

These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

These are more wise sayings of Solomon, copied out by the men of Hezekiah, king of Judah.

Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

The legs of one who has no power of walking are hanging loose; so is a wise saying in the mouth of the foolish.

Like a thorn which goes up into the hand of a man overcome by drink, so is a wise saying in the mouth of a foolish man.

It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.

Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?”since it is not wise of you to ask this.

Wise use of possessions is good; it brings benefit to the living.

All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me.

Among the things I seek but have not found: one man among a thousand I did find, but I have not found one woman to be wise among all these.

Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.

Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.
