'Wood' in the Bible

Why do you see the speck in your brother's eye, but fail to see the beam of wood in your own?

Or how will you say to your brother, 'Allow [me] to remove the speck from your eye,' and behold, the beam of wood [is] in your [own] eye?

Hypocrite! First remove the beam of wood from your [own] eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye!

How are you able to say to your brother, "Brother, allow [me] to remove the speck [that is] in your eye," [while] you yourself do not see the beam of wood in your [own] eye? Hypocrite! For if they do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

so also the tongue is a little member, and doth boast greatly; lo, a little fire how much wood it doth kindle!
