'Worthy' in the Bible
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Deacons, likewise, should be worthy of respect, not hypocritical, not drinking a lot of wine, not greedy for money,
Wives, too, must be worthy of respect, not slanderers, self-controlled, faithful in everything.
If you point out these instructions to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished [through study] on the words of the faith and of the good [Christian] doctrine which you have closely followed.
