'Alone' in the Bible
So he let him alone. Then she said, A bridegroom of blood art thou , because of the circumcision.
Is not this the word that we spake unto thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it were better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
And when Moses father-in-law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand about thee from morning unto even?
Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for the thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.
and Moses alone shall come near unto Jehovah; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.
now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
