'Ancient' in the Bible

just as He spoke by the mouthof His holy prophets in ancient times;

some that Elijah had appeared, and others that one of the ancient prophets had risen.

They answered, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, that one of the ancient prophets has come back.”
