'Beasts' in the Bible

“You will laugh at violence and famine,And you will not be afraid of wild beasts.

“For you will be in league with the stones of the field,And the beasts of the field will be at peace with you.

“But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you;And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.

“Why are we regarded as beasts,As stupid in your eyes?

“The proud beasts have not trodden it,Nor has the fierce lion passed over it.

Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earthAnd makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?’

“Surely the mountains bring him food,And all the beasts of the field play there.
