'Body' in the Bible
Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in distress;My eye is wasted away from grief, my soul and my body also.
For my life is spent with sorrowAnd my years with sighing;My strength has failed because of my iniquity,And my body has wasted away.
When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted awayThrough my groaning all day long.
For our soul has sunk down into the dust;Our body cleaves to the earth.
For there are no pains in their death,And their body is fat.
But he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment,And it entered into his body like waterAnd like oil into his bones.
The Lord has sworn to DavidA truth from which He will not turn back:“Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.
