'Brier' in the Bible

Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up,and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up;it will make a name for Yahwehas an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

The best of them is like a brier;the most upright is worse than a hedge of thorns.The day of your watchmen,the day of your punishment, is coming;at this time their panic is here.
