'Cattle' in the Bible
“What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?”Says the Lord.“I have had enough of burnt offerings of ramsAnd the fat of fed cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs or goats.
Instead, there is gaiety and gladness,Killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep,Eating of meat and drinking of wine:“Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die.”
Bel has bowed down, Nebo stoops over;Their images are consigned to the beasts and the cattle. The things that you carry are burdensome,A load for the weary beast.
As the cattle which go down into the valley,The Spirit of the Lord gave them rest.So You led Your people,To make for Yourself a glorious name.
