'Covers' in the Bible

“The earth is given into the hand of the wicked;He covers the faces of its judges.If it is not He, then who is it?

Or darkness, so that you cannot see,And an abundance of water covers you.

But I am not silenced by the darkness,Nor deep gloom which covers me.

“Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him,And He covers the depths of the sea.

“He covers His hands with the lightning,And commands it to strike the mark.
