'Double' in the Bible

“Speak kindly to Jerusalem;And call out to her, that her warfare has ended,That her iniquity has been removed,That she has received of the Lord’s handDouble for all her sins.”

“Behold, I have made you a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges;You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them,And will make the hills like chaff.

Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,Everlasting joy will be theirs.
