'Dries' in the Bible
A joyful heart is good medicine,But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
The field is ruined,The land mourns;For the grain is ruined,The new wine dries up,Fresh oil fails.
The vine dries upAnd the fig tree fails;The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree,All the trees of the field dry up.Indeed, rejoicing dries upFrom the sons of men.
He said,“The Lord roars from ZionAnd from Jerusalem He utters His voice;And the shepherds’ pasture grounds mourn,And the summit of Carmel dries up.”
He rebukes the sea and makes it dry;He dries up all the rivers.Bashan and Carmel wither;The blossoms of Lebanon wither.
