'Ease' in the Bible
Righteous are You, O Lord, that I would plead my case with You;Indeed I would discuss matters of justice with You:Why has the way of the wicked prospered?Why are all those who deal in treachery at ease?
‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant,’ declares the Lord,‘And do not be dismayed, O Israel;For behold, I will save you from afarAnd your offspring from the land of their captivity.And Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease,And no one will make him afraid.
“Moab has been at ease since his youth;He has also been undisturbed, like wine on its dregs,And he has not been emptied from vessel to vessel,Nor has he gone into exile.Therefore he retains his flavor,And his aroma has not changed.
“Arise, go up against a nation which is at ease,Which lives securely,” declares the Lord.“It has no gates or bars;They dwell alone.
