'Fails' in the Bible
My heart throbs, my strength fails me;And the light of my eyes, even that has gone from me.
Do not cast me off in the time of old age;Do not forsake me when my strength fails.
Answer me quickly, O Lord, my spirit fails;Do not hide Your face from me,Or I will become like those who go down to the pit.
The man shapes iron into a cutting tool and does his work over the coals, fashioning it with hammers and working it with his strong arm. He also gets hungry and his strength fails; he drinks no water and becomes weary.
“Son of man, what is this proverb you people have concerning the land of Israel, saying, ‘The days are long and every vision fails’?
The field is ruined,The land mourns;For the grain is ruined,The new wine dries up,Fresh oil fails.
The vine dries upAnd the fig tree fails;The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree,All the trees of the field dry up.Indeed, rejoicing dries upFrom the sons of men.
