'Filthy' in the Bible

They will throw their silver into the streets,and their gold will seem like something filthy.Their silver and gold will be unable to save themin the day of the Lord’s wrath.They will not satisfy their appetitesor fill their stomachs,for these were the stumbling blocksthat brought about their iniquity.

He appointed His beautiful ornaments for majesty,but they made their abhorrent images from them,their detestable things.Therefore, I have made theseinto something filthy for them.

Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the Angel.

So the Angel of the Lord spoke to those standing before Him, “Take off his filthy clothes!” Then He said to him, “See, I have removed your guilt from you, and I will clothe you with splendid robes.”
