'Harvest' in the Bible
You shall multiply the nation,You shall increase their gladness;They will be glad in Your presenceAs with the gladness of harvest,As men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
Therefore I will weep bitterly for Jazer, for the vine of Sibmah;I will drench you with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh;For the shouting over your summer fruits and your harvest has fallen away.
In the day that you plant it you carefully fence it in,And in the morning you bring your seed to blossom;But the harvest will be a heapIn a day of sickliness and incurable pain.
For thus the Lord has told me,“I will look from My dwelling place quietlyLike dazzling heat in the sunshine,Like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”
For before the harvest, as soon as the bud blossomsAnd the flower becomes a ripening grape,Then He will cut off the sprigs with pruning knivesAnd remove and cut away the spreading branches.
And were on many waters.The grain of the Nile, the harvest of the River was her revenue;And she was the market of nations.
For thus it will be in the midst of the earth among the peoples,As the shaking of an olive tree,As the gleanings when the grape harvest is over.
