In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

And the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were closed, and the pour of rain from heaven was stopped.

And I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and unto thy seed will I give all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves --

and looking up to heaven he groaned, and says to him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
