'Helpless' in the Bible

He waits in ambush near the villages;he kills the innocent in secret places.His eyes are on the lookout for the helpless;

Their eyes secretly watch the helpless, lying in wait like a lion in his den. They lie in wait to catch the afflicted. They catch the afflicted when they pull him into their net.

So he is oppressed and beaten down;the helpless fall because of his strength.

Arise, Yahweh! God, lift up your hand! Don't forget the helpless.

But You Yourself have seen trouble and grief,observing it in order to take the matter into Your hands.The helpless entrusts himself to You;You are a helper of the fatherless.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.How blessed is he who considers the helpless;The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble.

He will have pity on the poor and helplessand save the lives of the poor.

The bravehearted were plundered; they "fell asleep." All the warriors were helpless.

They treat me like those who descend into the grave. I am like a helpless man,

The Lord guards the inexperienced;I was helpless, and He saved me.
