'Highway' in the Bible

Then the Lord said to Isaiah, “Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and your son Shear-jashub, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway to the fuller’s field,

And there will be a highway from AssyriaFor the remnant of His people who will be left,Just as there was for IsraelIn the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.

In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will come into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.

A highway will be there, a roadway,And it will be called the Highway of Holiness.The unclean will not travel on it,But it will be for him who walks that way,And fools will not wander on it.

And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem to King Hezekiah with a large army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool on the highway of the fuller’s field.

A voice is calling,“Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness;Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.

Go through, go through the gates,Clear the way for the people;Build up, build up the highway,Remove the stones, lift up a standard over the peoples.
