'Hill' in the Bible
Let me sing now for my well-belovedA song of my beloved concerning His vineyard.My well-beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hill.
Yet today he will halt at Nob;He shakes his fist at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Lift up a standard on the bare hill,Raise your voice to them,Wave the hand that they may enter the doors of the nobles.
One thousand will flee at the threat of one man;You will flee at the threat of five,Until you are left as a flag on a mountain topAnd as a signal on a hill.
On every lofty mountain and on every high hill there will be streams running with water on the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
For thus says the Lord to me,“As the lion or the young lion growls over his prey,Against which a band of shepherds is called out,And he will not be terrified at their voice nor disturbed at their noise,So will the Lord of hosts come down to wage war on Mount Zion and on its hill.”
Because the palace has been abandoned, the populated city forsaken.Hill and watch-tower have become caves forever,A delight for wild donkeys, a pasture for flocks;
“Let every valley be lifted up,And every mountain and hill be made low;And let the rough ground become a plain,And the rugged terrain a broad valley;
