'Lamp' in the Bible

"Yes, the lamp of the wicked is extinguished; his flame of fire does not shine.

The light in his tent grows dark; his lamp above him is extinguished.

"How often is the lamp of the wicked extinguished? How often does their misfortune come upon them? How often does God apportion pain to them in his anger?
