'Mass' in the Bible

“And He made darkness canopies around Him,A mass of waters, thick clouds of the sky.

When the dust hardens into a massAnd the clods stick together?

‘And it had strong branches fit for scepters of rulers,And its height was raised above the cloudsSo that it was seen in its height with the mass of its branches.

Horsemen charging,Swords flashing, spears gleaming,Many slain, a mass of corpses,And countless dead bodies—They stumble over the dead bodies!
