'Meet' in the Bible

Now Martha, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet him, but Mary was sitting in the house.

(Now Jesus has not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha went to meet him.)

took the branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, and began crying out, "Hosanna! Blessed [is] the one who comes in the name of the Lord, even the king of Israel!"

Because of this also the crowd went to meet him, for they had heard [that] he had performed this sign.
