'Myrrh' in the Bible
“My beloved is to me a pouch of myrrhWhich lies all night between my breasts.
“What is this coming up from the wildernessLike columns of smoke,Perfumed with myrrh and frankincense,With all scented powders of the merchant?
“Until the cool of the dayWhen the shadows flee away,I will go my way to the mountain of myrrhAnd to the hill of frankincense.
Nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon,With all the trees of frankincense,Myrrh and aloes, along with all the finest spices.
“I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride;I have gathered my myrrh along with my balsam.I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey;I have drunk my wine and my milk.Eat, friends;Drink and imbibe deeply, O lovers.”
