'Perish' in the Bible

Therefore, thus says the Lord,“Behold, I am laying stumbling blocks before this people.And they will stumble against them,Fathers and sons together;Neighbor and friend will perish.”

Why are we sitting still?Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the fortified citiesAnd let us perish there,Because the Lord our God has doomed usAnd given us poisoned water to drink,For we have sinned against the Lord.

Thus you shall say to them, “The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.”

They are worthless, a work of mockery;In the time of their punishment they will perish.

“Flight will perish from the shepherds,And escape from the masters of the flock.
