'Places' in the Bible

For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. (For it had seized him many times, and he was bound with chains and shackles [and] was guarded, and breaking the bonds he would be driven by the demon into the deserted places.)

"Whenever an unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it travels through waterless places searching for rest, and does not find [it]. It says, 'I will return to my house from which I came out.'

Now he told a parable to those who had been invited [when he] noticed how they were choosing for themselves the places of honor, saying to them,

And [when he] has found [it], he places [it] on his shoulders, rejoicing.

"Beware of the scribes, who like walking around in long robes and who love greetings in the marketplaces and the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets,

There will be great earthquakes and famines and plagues in [various] places. There will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven.
