'Profane' in the Bible
And I will give it into the hands of strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.
And I will turn my face from them; and they shall profane my secret place; and the violent shall enter into it, and profane it.
And will ye profane me among my people for handfuls of barley and for morsels of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that listen to lying?
As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Go ye, serve every one his idols henceforth also, if none of you will hearken unto me; but profane my holy name no more with your gifts and with your idols.
And thou, profane, wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, at the time of the iniquity of the end,
her priests do violence to my law, and profane my holy things: they put no difference between the holy and profane, neither do they make known the difference between the unclean and the clean, and they hide their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
For when they had slaughtered their children unto their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

And they shall teach my people the difference between holy and profane, and cause them to discern between unclean and clean.
