'Prophets' in the Bible
as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, who have been since the world began;
rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in the heaven, for after this manner did their fathers act toward the prophets.
Woe, when all men speak well of you, for after this manner did their fathers to the false prophets.
and by some that Elias had appeared, and by others that one of the old prophets had risen again.
But they answering said, John the baptist; but others, Elias; and others, that one of the old prophets has risen again.
For I say to you that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which ye behold, and did not see them; and to hear the things which ye hear, and did not hear them.
