'Released' in the Bible
When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.
They took his advice; and after calling the apostles in, they flogged them and ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and then released them.
And when they had received a pledge from Jason and the others, they released them.
But on the next day, wishing to know for certain why he had been accused by the Jews, he released him and ordered the chief priests and all the Council to assemble, and brought Paul down and set him before them.
