'Remained' in the Bible

and had completed the days, as they returned, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, and his parents knew not of it;

And they all ate and were filled; and there was taken up of what had remained over and above to them in fragments twelve hand-baskets.

And by day he was teaching in the temple, and by night, going out, he remained abroad on the mountain called the mount of Olives;

And having returned they prepared aromatic spices and ointments, and remained quiet on the sabbath, according to the commandment.
