'Remnant' in the Bible
I will indeed gather all of you, Jacob;I will collect the remnant of Israel.I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in the middle of its fold.It will be noisy with people.
I will make the lame into a remnant, those far removed into a strong nation. Then the Lord will rule over them in Mount Zionfrom this time on and forever.
Then the remnant of Jacobwill be among many peopleslike dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for anyoneor linger for mankind.
Then the remnant of Jacobwill be among the nations, among many peoples, like a lion among animals of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which tramples and tears as it passes through, and there is no one to rescue them.
Who is a God like You,removing iniquity and passing over rebellionfor the remnant of His inheritance? He does not hold on to His anger forever, because He delights in faithful love.
