'Replace' in the Bible
and when all the flocks were gathered there, the shepherds would roll the stone from the mouth of the well, water the sheep, and [afterward] replace the stone on the mouth of the well.
The one who kills an animal shall replace it; but he who kills a human being [unlawfully] shall be put to death.
He shall not replace it or exchange it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; but if he does exchange an animal for an animal, then both the original offering and its substitute shall be holy.
But He chose the tribe of Judah [as Israel’s leader],Mount Zion, which He loved [to replace Shiloh as His capital].
“And I will compensate you for the yearsThat the swarming locust has eaten,The creeping locust, the stripping locust, and the gnawing locust—My great army which I sent among you.
