'Shattered' in the Bible
“Is this man Coniah a despised, shattered jar?Or is he an undesirable vessel? Why have he and his descendants been hurled outAnd cast into a land that they had not known?
Concerning Moab. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel,“Woe to Nebo, for it has been destroyed;Kiriathaim has been put to shame, it has been captured; The lofty stronghold has been put to shame and shattered.
“Moab has been put to shame, for it has been shattered.Wail and cry out;Declare by the ArnonThat Moab has been destroyed.
“How shattered it is! How they have wailed! How Moab has turned his back—he is ashamed! So Moab will become a laughingstock and an object of terror to all around him.”
“Declare and proclaim among the nations.Proclaim it and lift up a standard.Do not conceal it but say,‘Babylon has been captured,Bel has been put to shame, Marduk has been shattered; Her images have been put to shame, her idols have been shattered.’
“A sword against the oracle priests, and they will become fools!A sword against her mighty men, and they will be shattered!
For the destroyer is coming against her, against Babylon,And her mighty men will be captured,Their bows are shattered; For the Lord is a God of recompense,He will fully repay.
