'Shekels' in the Bible
"If the ox gores a male or female servant, the owner is to give 30 shekels of silver to the servant's master, and the ox is to be stoned.
"You are to take for yourself the finest spices: 500 shekelsby weight of liquid myrrh, half as much fragrant cinnamon (250 shekels), 250 shekels of fragrant reeds,
500 shekels of cassia all according to the shekel of the sanctuary and a hin of olive oil.
All the gold that was used in the work, in all the work on the sanctuary, including the gold from the wave offering, totaled 29 talents, 730 shekels, according to the standard used in the sanctuary.
The silver from those of the congregation who were recorded totaled 100 talents and 1,775 shekels, according to the standard used in the sanctuary;
The bronze from the wave offering totaled 70 talents and 2,400 shekels.
