'Sky' in the Bible
Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?
Jesus told him, “Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.”
It’s the smallest of all the seeds, but when grown, it’s taller than the vegetables and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches.”
He answered them: “When evening comes you say, ‘It will be good weather because the sky is red.’
And in the morning, ‘Today will be stormy because the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to read the appearance of the sky, but you can’t read the signs of the times.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days:The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light;the stars will fall from the sky,and the celestial powers will be shaken.
“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
