'Stoned' in the Bible

So the commander of the Temple guards went with his men to bring them back without force, because they were afraid of being stoned to death by the people.

But some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won over the crowds by persuasion. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the town, thinking he was dead.

They were stoned to death, sawed in half, and killed with swords. They went around in sheepskins and goatskins. They were needy, oppressed, and mistreated.

For they could not endure the command that was given: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death."
