'Succeed' in the Bible

“And through his shrewdnessHe will cause deceit to succeed by his influence;And he will magnify himself in his heart,And he will destroy many while they are at ease.He will even oppose the Prince of princes,But he will be broken without human agency.

As for both kings, their hearts will be intent on evil, and they will speak lies to each other at the same table; but it will not succeed, for the end is still to come at the appointed time.
