'Took' in the Bible
And he came and took [the scroll] from the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne.
And when he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one of whom had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
And I watched when he opened the sixth seal, and a great earthquake took place, and the sun became black like sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood,
And the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire from the altar and threw [it] to the earth, and there were thunders and sounds and lightnings and an earthquake.
And I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel and ate it up, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth, and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.
And at that hour a great earthquake took place, and a tenth of the city collapsed, and seven thousand {people} were killed by the earthquake, and the rest became terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
