It happened, when the king lived in his house, and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies all around,

When David rose up in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,

Behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD to Beth El: and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.
