When you assemble in the name and with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, I will be with you in spirit.

Whoever you forgive, I also forgive. What I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, for your sakes I have forgiven it in the presence of Christ,

This I say therefore, and testify (affirm) in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the nations also walk, in the vanity (futility) (depravity) of their mind (thinking).

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to God the Father through him.

Furthermore, we encourage you, brothers, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us how you ought to walk, and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

If anyone does not obey our word in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he will be put to shame.

Now I beseech you, brothers, mark those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine you have learned and avoid them.

I wrote you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother who is a fornicator, or who is greedy, or who worships idols, or constantly gets drunk, or cheats people. Do not even eat with such a person.

frictions between men corrupted in mind and lacking in truth, supposing that godliness is a way of gain.

See that no one misses the grace of God; that no bitter root spring up to cause trouble and defile many.

If I come, I will remind you of what he does. He unjustly accuses us with wicked words and is never satisfied. He does not allow the brothers to greet one another and he throws them out of the congregation.

Walketh

You know what you must do to imitate us. We lived a disciplined life among you.

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and mind your own business, and work with your hands, as we command you.

We ask you brothers to warn the unruly and comfort the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all men.

While we were with you, we used to tell you: Whoever refuses to work is not allowed to eat.

So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the precepts (Greek: paradosis: traditions of doctrines, teachings handed down) you were taught by word of mouth or by letter from us.
