They said, “Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man well spoken of by the entire nation of the Jews, was divinely directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and hear

a message from you.”

“A certain Ananias, a man who was devout by the standard of the Law, and well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,

so that you will

behave properly toward outsiders and

not be in any need.

And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

And we

And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.

This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.
