Stephen's Martyrdom
58 and dragged him out of the city and continued stoning him. The witnesses, in the meantime, laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 They continued stoning Stephen as he continued praying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" 60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not charge this sin on the book against them!" On saying this he fell asleep in death.
