The priest will write these curses on a scroll and wash them off into the bitter water.

Do not let their wrongdoing be covered or their sin be washed away from before you: for they have made you angry before the builders.

([[Psalm of David] when the prophet Nathan came to him after David's adultery with Bathsheba:]) Have mercy on me, O God, in keeping with your loving-kindness. According to your unlimited compassion, wipe out my transgressions.

I alone am the one who is going to wipe away your rebellious actions for my own sake. I will not remember your sins anymore.

I have swept your sins away like a cloud. Come back to me! I am the one who saves you.

If you died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances:

Then on the thirteenth day of the first month, the king's scribes were summoned. They put in writing Haman's orders to all the king's captains and the rulers of every division of his kingdom and the chiefs of every people. It was to be for every division of the kingdom in the writing commonly used there, and to every people in the language which was theirs. It was signed in the name of King Ahasuerus and stamped with the king's ring.

Send a letter about the Jews, writing whatever seems good to you, in the king's name, and stamp it with the king's ring: for a writing signed in the king's name and stamped with the king's ring may not be changed.

The king cried aloud to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. / The king spoke to the wise men of Babylon: Whoever reads this writing, and shows me the interpretation of it will be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about his neck. They were both righteous before God. They blamelessly obeyed all the commandments and ordinances of God (Greek: kurios: God).

But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he does not differ from a bondservant, though he is owner of the estate.

For he is our peace, who made both (Jews and Gentiles) one, and broke down the middle barrier of partition.

The former commandment was set aside because it was weak and useless.

By calling this covenant new, he has made the first one old (obsolete). That which grows old and aged will soon disappear.

This is a symbol that points to the present time. It means that the offerings and animal sacrifices presented to God cannot make the worshiper's heart perfect,

Then he said: You did not want nor did you approve of sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin; which are offered by the Law.

One will say: 'Heap it up! Heap it up! Prepare the way; Take the stumbling block out of the way of my people.'

The secret of evil (lawlessness) is even now at work. But there is one who restrains the evil till he is taken out of the way.
