² For you are a holy people to Jehovah your God, and Jehovah has chosen you to be a peculiar people to Himself, above all the nations that are on the earth. ³ You shall not eat any hateful thing. ⁴ These are the animals which you shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

Leviticus 11:43

You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that swarms, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, so that you should be defiled by them.
