“Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.

‘But if he cannot afford a lamb, then he shall bring to the Lord his guilt offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.

But if she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”

Honor the Lord from your wealth

And from the first of all your produce;

Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you.

It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich,

Who knows whether He will not turn and relent
And leave a blessing behind Him,

consider from this day onward: before one stone was placed on another in the temple of the Lord,

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until

it overflows.

On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.

I give my opinion in this matter, for this is to your advantage, who were the first to begin a year ago not only to do this, but also to desire to do it.

So I thought it necessary to urge the brethren that they would go on ahead to you and arrange beforehand your previously promised

bountiful gift, so that the same would be ready as a

bountiful gift and not

affected by covetousness.
