¹⁰ Come on, let us play wisely with them: lest they multiply, and then - if there chance any war - they join themselves unto our enemies and fight against us, and so get them out of the land." ¹¹ And he set taskmasters over them, to keep them under with burdens. And they built unto Pharaoh treasure cities: Pithom and Rameses. ¹² But the more they vexed them, the more they multiplied and grew: so that they abhorred the children of Israel.
