The ear scrutinizes speech just as the palate tastes food."

Since the ear tests words like a palate tastes food,

And this is my prayer, that your love will keep on growing more and more with full knowledge and insight,

But solid food is for mature people, whose minds are trained by practice to distinguish good from evil.

You're judging by human standards, but I'm not judging anyone.

We don't speak about these things with words taught us by human wisdom, but with words taught by the Spirit, as we explain spiritual things to spiritual people.

It is a very small thing to me that I should be examined by you or by any human court. In fact, I don't even evaluate myself.
