Forgettest

Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation. You have not been mindful of the Rock of your stronghold. Therefore you will plant pleasant plants and set out foreign (imported) (unusual) seedlings.

You ignored the rock that fathered you and forgot the God who gave you life.

A young woman cannot forget her jewelry or a bride her breastband (sash) (girdle). Yet, my people have forgotten me for countless days.

That hath

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

God created the heavens and stretched them out. He fashioned the earth and all that lives there. He gave life and breath to all its people. And now Jehovah God says to his servant:

I am Jehovah, your savior. I am the one who created you. I am Jehovah, the Creator of all things. I alone stretched out the heavens! No one helped me when I made the earth (I was by myself) (Who was with me?).

I am the one who made the earth. I created human beings to live there. With my power I stretched out the heavens. I control the sun, the moon, and the stars.

He alone spreads out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.

Have you, like him, spread out the skies, strong as a cast metal mirror?

You founded the earth of old. The heavens are the work of your hands.

You cover yourself with light as with a cloak. You stretch out clouds in the sky like a curtain.

You will say to the idolaters: The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.

Jehovah made the earth by his power. By his wisdom he created the world and stretched out the heavens.

You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.

Feared

Do not say that everything these people call a conspiracy is a conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear. Do not let it terrify you!

Who frightened you? Who made you afraid, that you have lied and not remembered me? You did not take it to your heart. Is it not because I have held my peace from of old that you do not reverence (respect) me?

If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they came, they would have had opportunity to return.

Were ready

They go over the pass and make Geba their camping place for the night. Ramah trembles and Gibeah of Saul flees.

The Israelites saw the king coming with his army. They were frightened and begged Jehovah for help.

The enemy said: 'I will pursue them! I will catch them! I will divide the loot! I will take all I want! I will use my sword! I will take all they have!'

Then his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him: Let a pillar, fifty cubits high, be made ready for hanging him. In the morning get the king to give orders for the hanging of Mordecai. Then you will be able to go to the feast with the king with a glad heart. Haman was pleased with the suggestion, and he had the pillar made.

Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, zither, pipes, and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, good! But if you do not worship it you will be thrown into the midst of a blazing furnace that same hour. What god will be able to rescue you from my hand?

They advanced over the broad plain of the earth, and encircled the camp of the holy ones, and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven and devoured (consumed) them.

Where is

Behold, the Sovereign Lord Jehovah of Hosts will lop off the boughs with great power. The lofty trees will be cut down! The tall ones will be brought low.

Those who see you stare at you. They look at you closely and say: 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook the kingdoms,

Let the Moabite fugitives stay with you. Be their shelter from the destroyer. The oppressor will come to an end. Destruction will cease! For the aggressor will vanish from the land.

In your thoughts you will ponder the former terror: Where is that chief officer? Where is the one who took the revenue? Where is the officer in charge of the towers?

The angel of Jehovah put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. The people got up the next morning and saw all the dead bodies!

But Moses said to the people: Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of Jehovah. He will accomplish this for you today. The Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever.

So Haman was put to death by hanging him on the pillar he made for Mordecai. Then the king's rage subsided.

The success of the wicked is brief and the joy of the godless lasts but a moment.

The enemy is finished-in ruins forever. You have uprooted their cities. Even the memory of them has faded.

I have seen a wicked, violent man spreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil.

For the wrath of man shall praise you. You will fortify yourself with a remnant of wrath.

You will be driven from men. Your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You will have to eat grass like bulls. Seven times shall pass over you until you know the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.

Herod saw that the astrologers tricked him and he was furious. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys two years old and younger in or near Bethlehem. This matched the time he learned from the astrologers.

Immediately the angel of God killed him, because he did not give God the glory. He was eaten by worms and died.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

O death, where is your sting (power to hurt)? O grave, where is your victory?

The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet that performed signs before him, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.
