An Invasion From The North

¹ Flee for safety people of Benjamin. Run from the midst of Jerusalem! Blow a ram's horn in Tekoa and raise a signal over Beth-haccerem. Evil looks down from the north. There is great destruction. ² “The comely and dainty one, the daughter of Zion, I will cut off.
³ Shepherds and their flocks will come to her. They will pitch their tents around her. They will pasture each in his place.

Isaiah 1:8

My people, the daughter of Zion is left like an empty hut in a vineyard. It is like a shack in a cucumber field, like a city under attack.

What example am I to give you? What comparison am I to make for you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What am I to make equal to you, so that I may give you comfort, O virgin daughter of Zion? Your destruction is great like the sea. Who is able to make you well?
